Breaking: Presidency revealed that more judges are going down

– A presidency source revealed that more judges will be probed

– This followed a raid and arrest of some judges during the weekend

– The EFCC has been granted approval to go after corrupt officials

It seems the arrest of some judges by operatives of the Department of State Service is just the beginning as a presidency source has revealed that it’s going to be a large scale probe.

Some high ranking judges were arrested in a raid in the early hours of Saturday, October 8 in what was considered an unprecedented move but according to Vanguard, more arrests are likely going to happen.

A source at the presidency who spoke on the condition of anonymity said President Muhammadu Buhari was focused on sanitising the judiciary but does not need to order the DSS or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before they do their job.

The source said president Buhari has received the report of the meeting of the National Judicial Council on the earlier sanctioned judges.

The president has promised not to interfere with investigation but vowed that it was going to be a large scale exercise.

“He doesn’t need to approve anything. The DSS and EFCC are independent. They can do their jobs. But I can tell you that the president won’t interfere with the investigation. That’s the kind of president we have.

“There is no stopping of the probes. This is going to be a large scale thing. Yes, the president has received the report of the earlier meeting from the NJC but not the one they are concluding today. I don’t about it.”
