As part of faculty, s/he will teach Medicine residents and carry out research in defined areas of professional interest and knowledge.

Introduction
The Associate Dean, Medical College, Tanzania is the senior academic leader representing the Medical College in Tanzania, with the campus based at the Aga Khan Health Services Hospital in Dar es Salaam. The Associate Dean is responsible for the strategic direction, financial, operating and quality of all Medical College academic programmes (education and research) in Tanzania and liaison with the AKU Nursing and Midwifery and other AKU entities in Tanzania. Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning of the Medical College in Tanzania and participates in strategic planning activities of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) in East Africa and Aga Khan Health Services in Tanzania.
Provides supervision and mentorship to senior Medical College leadership (PGME Programme Director, Chairs).
Recruitments of all senior leadership positions within the Medical College and where appropriate co-leadership of the process with the CEO of AKHS (Chairs) as appropriate.
Ensures the development, implementation and quality review of all academic programmes (education and research).

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Medical Officer (Nephrology), Kidney & Bladder Service Line.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
work closely with nephrology residents, instructor and consultants
receive admitted patients from clinics and ER and perform diagnostic workup
manage patients in special care unit and wards
conduct ward rounds and carrying out consultant’s instructions and round orders regarding patient care
manage and follow dialysis patients and monitor their outcomes
facilitate in prioritization of dialysis requests
work within the best practice and infection control guidelines
assist in clinical and quality projects
perform night call duties as assigned.
Requirements
You should have: MBBS degree with a valid PMDC license one year house job/internship one to two years’ experience in Internal Medicine & Allied will be preferred strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
delivering and assessing the curriculum in the first two years of the undergraduate medical programme of the University
acting as a facilitator to conduct small group tutorial sessions and actively participating in Problem Based Learning (PBL) academic and assessment related activities of the Department including laboratory sessions
participating in marking module practical assessment papers and invigilation of module assessments
participating in departmental research.
Requirements
You should have:
an MBBS degree, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
a vivid interest in the teaching of basic and biomedical sciences.
