Department of Weed Science, The University of Agriculture Peshawar requires the services of 2 Research Fellows and 3 DPL for AIP-PARC funded research project titled "Integrated approaches to manage Broomrape (Orobanche sp.) in major cash crops in KPK and Balochistan Provinces" for a period of two years (for Research Fellow) and 8 months/year (for DPL) as per following details:

| 1. Research Fellows (02) (1 post for KPK and 1 for Balochistan) Salary: Rs. 20,000 (lump sum) per month | M.Sc. (Hons) in Weed Science (for KPK) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture (for Balochistan) from any HEC recognized University. Research experience in the field of Weed Science will be preferred. |
| 2. DPL (03) Salary: Rs. 6,500/month (8 months/year) | Domicile of KPK (1 post) Balochistan (2 posts). |

SITUATION VACANT
Applications on prescribed form are invited from Pakistani nationals for the following positions in the University of Agriculture, Peshawar.

Mechanization, Water Management, Plant Protection, IBGE and Math/ State | PhD from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field. 15-years teaching / research experience in BS-17 or equivalent grade and above in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR 10-years post-PhD teaching / research experience in BS-17 or equivalent grade in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals. |
| 2. | Associate Professor (BS-20) One post each in the discipline of Agri. Mechanization and Water Management. | PhD from HEC recognized institution in the relevant field. 10-years teaching/research experience in BS-17/equivalent grade and above in HEC recognized University or a post graduate institute or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization OR 05 years post PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post graduate institute or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. The applicant must have 10 research publications with at least four publications in the last five years in HEC recognized journals. |
| 3. | Senior Medical Officer (BS-18) One Male and one Female | MBBS from a recognized institution and registered with PMDC, with 06 years relevant professional experience in a recognized hospital/institution in pay scale 17 or its equivalent and above as medical practitioner/ consultant. No third division in entire academic career. |
INSTRUCTIONS:
- The prescribed application forms are obtainable from Meeting Section of the University on production of Bank receipt or Demand Draft in the name of Director Finance of The University of Agriculture, Peshawar. The Application Form can also be downloaded from the link below and bank receipt or Demand Draft of Rs.4000/- for S.No.1 and 2 and Rs.2000 for S.No.3 must accompany the application.
- Candidates already in Service, should route their applications through proper channel.
- Applications with attested copies of all degree, certificates and diplomas or equivalent certificates regarding any credentials, medals/distinction certificates and years-wise detailed marks certificates, experience certificates should reach the undersigned on or before 30-11-2017 for Inland candidates. The last date is 15-12-2017 for those applying from aboard.
- The candidates for the position of Professor and Associate Professors should submit 04 copies of the dossiers.
- Incomplete applications or received after closing date shall not be entertained.
- Separate Application Form must be submitted for each post.
- No TA/DA shall be paid for attending test/interview.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
- 2% quota is reserved for disabled persons subject to qualifying selection process.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Research Assistant in PARC-USAID Project.
Applications are invited for contractual position of one Research Assistant in project "Evaluation and Identification of High Yielding Winter Wheat Genotypes" funded by PARC-USAID under Agricultural Innovation Program (AIP) of CIMMYT for a period of 2-years at the Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, University of Agriculture, Peshawar.
Qualification:
B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding & Genetics and currently enrolled in M.Sc. (Hons) PBG degree program.
